Ramakrishna Foundation provides direct help and support to any religious organization that promotes religious harmony, to foster cultural and educational activities that fosters harmony of religions and to all schools, colleges, orphanages and hospitals affiliated to such institutions and to offer charitable assistance to organizations and individuals who can help to achieve foundation’s objectives. It should be emphasized here that the recipient organizations should be recognized as charitable tax-exempt religious organizations by the Govt. of the country of the receiving organization and their objectives are similar to the Ramakrishna Foundation's objectives as mentioned above.

One such time-tested institution that has a history of more than 100 years of repute and respectability in adhering to these ideals is The Ramakrishna Math and Mission. We get appeals for funds from many Ramakrishna Math and Mission centers all over India, which was the recipient of the prestigious Gandhi Peace Prize in 1998 as well.

Any branch of the Sri Sarada Math & Ramakrishna Sarada Mission which has FCRA approval (a complete list of centers can be found ; not all of them have FCRA approval)
Other worthy institutions are also approved.
